Our School

At Tulare Tech Prep High School, our staff and students work together every day to help our students learn the skills they need to be successful now and in the future. By attending school regularly, working hard, and making the right decisions, Tech Prep students successfully complete required classes in a safe school environment. They work diligently to meet state and district graduation requirements and develop a plan for their future as they learn responsible behavior, respect, and accountability.

Vision – TPHS has adopted the district’s mission statement, which reads as follows: Our students will acquire relevant skills and knowledge through meaningful learning opportunities to empower them to productively contribute to an ever-changing community. We commit to providing a safe and supportive environment that promotes academic and emotional growth.

Mission – The mission of TPHS is to provide students at risk of not graduating due to attendance, behavior, and/or credits an opportunity to make progress toward earning a high school diploma in a safe and nurturing environment while receiving multiple levels of support aimed at helping all students navigate life’s challenges.

Tech Prep Sports

Participation in athletics helps build a sense of belonging, discipline, and self-esteem. At Tech Prep, our students may participate in a continuation sports league, where we play four co-ed sports: volleyball, soccer, basketball, and softball. To be eligible to compete in sports at Tech Prep High School, students must:

  • pass all classes from the previous grading period;
  • maintain a minimum of 80% attendance; and
  • not get sent home on suspension the week of the game.

The coach selects players based on the following:

  • Participation in practice
  • Ability level
  • Attitude
